The third and last Photoshop assignment was to create a new image in the style of an artist born before 1800. I chose Katsushika Hokusai, who is probably best known for The Great Wave of Kanagawa, one of a series of pictures of Mt Fuji.
Hokusai was a practitioner of the Ukiyo-e style of art, though he was apparently heavily influenced by Western art. The first image below shows a dragon in the smoke coming from Mt Fuji.

I was originally going to remove the original sketch that I scanned in to work from, but I liked the way it looked so I dropped it on top of the colour.
